Description
Antica Fratta Franciacorta Brut is a wine made from the vinification of Chardonnay varieties at 90% and Pinot Noir at 10%. These grapes are grown on the most suitable hills of Franciacorta and are hand-harvested when ripe, around mid-August. The yield in must is about 55% and it is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, a portion of the wines destined to become Antica Fratta Franciacorta Brut are placed in barriques for a variable period of time. In the spring following the harvest, the various base wines are blended to create Antica Fratta Franciacorta Brut, which is the result of different wines from various vintages that harmoniously compose a great product. After 24 months from bottling, known as tirage, where the bubbles develop inside the bottle, Antica Fratta Franciacorta Brut is disgorged and released to the market.
