Description
Catarratto Tenute Orestiadi is a Terre Siciliane IGP wine made exclusively from Catarratto grapes by Tenuta Orestiadi in Giberellina, Sicily. The vineyards are located in the Belice Valley area, and the soils are clay-limestone, which, together with a favorable climate, create the perfect conditions for the ripening of Catarratto grapes. Once the Catarratto grapes reach maturity, they are taken to the winery for pressing, and the musts ferment at a temperature of 15-16°C for about 15 days. After the first racking, the Catarratto Tenute Orestiadi wine remains on its fine lees in steel until blending and bottling, which takes place in the spring following the harvest. Malolactic fermentation is not performed to maintain the gustatory and aromatic freshness of Catarratto Tenute Orestiadi. Pairings: Grillo Orestiadi is a perfect wine paired with: Swordfish carpaccio, fish couscous, mussel soup, busiate alla trapanese, eggplant cream.
