Chiaretto 18 E Quarantacinque Citari

Chiaretto 18 e Quarantacinque, produced by the Citari company, is named in tribute to the end of the Battle of San Martino. 18 e Quarantacinque is a Chiaretto DOC made from Groppello, Marzemino, Barbera, and Sangiovese grapes. The grapes are harvested manually in early October in crates, and a maceration on the skins is carried out for about 12 hours. Once the color is extracted from the skins, it is clarified and fermentation is started with selected yeasts. Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature, followed by aging in steel tanks on fine lees for about 7 months. The result is a wine with a light color, typical of Chiaretto, savory, with fresh red fruit aromas. Pairings: Chiaretto 18 e Quarantacinque is excellent as an aperitif, and we recommend pairing it with lake fish and vegetable soups. Storage: Store at 16-18°C Alcohol content: 12.5% Vintage: 2024 Designation: Garda Classico Chiaretto DOC Aging: Steel
