Description
Molino a Vento Grillo Tenute Orestiadi is a wine produced with the typical Sicilian Grillo grapes from the Tenuta Orestiadi winery, cultivated in the Belice Valley in Sicily. The vineyards are located on deep, medium-textured soils, ideal for the maturation of Grillo plants. The grapes are harvested around mid-August and brought to the winery for cryomaceration; the crushed grapes are cooled to 8°C and the musts macerate with the skins for 10 hours so that the aromas present in the Grillo skins diffuse into the must and are then expressed in the wine. After pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers for 13-15 days at a temperature of 12°C to allow the yeast to express the aromatic potential of the Grillo grapes. Subsequently, the Molino a Vento Grillo Tenute Orestiadi ages for a few months in steel before blending and bottling.
