Molino a Vento Syrah Orestiadi is a wine made from 100% Syrah grapes grown in Sicily in the Gibellina area. The hills in this area have an altitude between 100 - 150 m above sea level with deep alluvial soils that allow the roots to develop deeply, thus absorbing minerals and nutrients for the plant. The Syrah grapes are harvested at phenolic ripeness and brought to the winery for crushing. Fermentation with maceration lasts about 12-15 days at a temperature between 25-30°C. During this period, remontage and delestage operations are repeated, allowing the Syrah Molino a Vento to be enriched with aromatic and coloring substances present in the skins. After fermentation, Molino a Vento Syrah Orestiadi is separated from the skins and aged in French oak barriques for 3-4 months before blending and bottling.
