BOLGHERI SASSICAIA DOC "SASSICAIA" 2020 - TENUTA SAN GUIDO - 0.75 L

BOLGHERI SASSICAIA DOC "SASSICAIA" 2020 - TENUTA SAN GUIDO - 0.75 L

The wine presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, one can clearly recognize aromas of ripe red fruits, berries, cola, aromatic herbs, and toasted almonds. The sip is distinguished by its austere complexity and richness, highlighting a consistent body and adequate acidity. Notes of dried fruit emerge, extending into a deep and persistent finish. Sassicaia pairs magnificently with refined dishes based on red meats or game, grilled dishes, roasts, beef fillets, and traditional Tuscan dishes like wild boar. This renowned Italian wine comes from a 75-hectare vineyard with unique characteristics, including limestone formations and a stony soil, which likely inspired its name "sassicaia." The vineyards are exposed to the west and southwest. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature with a maceration on the skins of about 10 days. The Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC from Tenuta San Guido is aged for 24 months in French oak barriques, followed by an additional period of rest in the bottle.
