La Bastide Dauzac is a French Bordeaux produced by Chateau Dauzac and is one of the most beloved French wines throughout Europe.
The terroir of this company covers about 104 acres, with soil rich in deep gravel outcrops from the Quaternary period. The average age of the vines is 35-40 years, and to produce La Bastide Dauzac, 58% Cabernet Sauvignon and 42% Merlot grape varieties are used.
The grapes are carefully hand-picked and then placed in small crates. For fermentation, a gravity flow tank is used to feed the fermentation room, which takes place in stainless steel vats with a cap-breaking system.
The aging of this Bordeaux traditionally occurs over 18 months with racking based on tasting results.
