The Cognac VS from Tenura Reviseur is a French brandy protected by Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC), obtained from the distillation of white wine. It is produced in the Charente and Charente Maritime departments in the west of France. This spirit owes its name to the city where it was traditionally traded, Cognac. Cognac is a fine spirit with a long history, dating back to 1622 when the Dutch purchased wine and salt in these regions by traveling up the Charente River. They taught the locals how to distill wine, and thus the Cognac market was born, a very large trade that has now expanded worldwide.
