The Violet Artichoke Hearts from Frantoi Cutrera are made from the Violet Artichoke of Niscemi, an ancient town in the province of Caltanissetta. This product is very soft to taste, ideal for preservation in oil. It remains crunchy yet particularly pleasant on the palate and delicate. The heart of the artichoke is used, placed in the Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the Cutrera family estates, specifically the Biancolilla variety, native to Gulfi, Sicily. The production of this product follows the simplest and most typical recipe: the artichokes are blanched in water and vinegar and then seasoned with oil and spices.
