Grape Variety and Harvest Britto is made with Arvino, Greco Nero, Magliocco Canino, and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, harvested at an altitude of 450-500 meters. The grapes are harvested around mid-October and after careful manual selection, they are gently pressed and left to ferment in horizontal macerators at a controlled temperature for 15-20 days. The maceration includes both remontage and punching down for an accurate extraction of the noble components of the grape. Brief aging on the lees with the completion of malolactic fermentation, then 40% of the wine rests for 6 months in French barriques and the remaining part in steel tanks for 29 months. After bottling, it ages for another 6 months in the bottle.
