Ermes Rice vacuum-packed 500g

Ermes Rice vacuum-packed 500g is an Italian cultivar of whole red rice. It is obtained in Italy by crossing Venere rice (with medium grain and black pericarp) and an indica-type rice (with long and narrow grain and white pericarp). It also has an elongated grain with a delicate aroma and a bright red color at harvest, brick-red after aging, conferred by the presence of anthocyanins contained in the outer part of the hulled grain. Ermes Rice vacuum-packed 500g is mainly cultivated in the provinces of Vercelli and Pavia, where the company Il Riso del Paradiso is located. Its peculiar note on the palate is reminiscent of exotic rice varieties, which is why I recommend pairing it with stews or grilled foods, seasoned with oil and aromatic herbs.
