Prepare the batter by mixing the egg with all the other ingredients.
Cover with cling film and let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
Clean the apple and remove the core, slice it into rounds and dip them into the batter.
Arrange the rounds in the air fryer basket and, if you like, add some cinnamon.
Cook at 180 degrees for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Decorate with powdered sugar if desired.
