
Buñuelos are delicious fried leavened pastries typical of Spanish cuisine. They are made with a batter of milk, butter, eggs, wheat flour and baking powder, flavored with anise syrup. Bring the milk to a boil, add the butter so that it melts and let it cool
Add the beaten eggs
Mix the baking powder and salt into the flour, then incorporate into the milk, stirring carefully
Knead the dough until it becomes homogeneous
Transfer it to a floured surface and knead for another 2-3 minutes
Form 20 balls and let rest for 5 minutes
Flatten the balls to form circles about 10 cm in diameter
Fry in hot oil until golden on both sides
Drain on paper towels
Drizzle with anise syrup
