Choux pastries are soft and tasty treats that can be filled in many different ways. They have a round shape and are perfect to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee. This recipe originates from France but is also very popular in Italy, especially during Carnival festivities.
Bring 12 cl of water to a boil with 60 g of butter
Then add all at once and away from the heat 75 g of sifted flour with a pinch of salt
Put it back on the heat and let it cook for a few moments, stirring constantly until the mixture detaches from the sides
Transfer it to another container and let it cool completely
Then add 2 eggs one at a time, stirring vigorously
Put the mixture in a pastry bag and drop it in small mounds onto a buttered and floured baking sheet
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 18 minutes
