

Figs pie is a typical summer dessert made with ripe fresh figs and a delicious shortcrust pastry. This dessert is perfect for a tasty snack or as a dessert after a light meal. The pie pairs perfectly with soft fresh whipped cream and can be enhanced with a splash of rum for an extra flavor kick.






Thaw the pastry according to the package instructions, then line a buttered and floured tart pan
Sprinkle the dough with 3/4 of the crushed amaretti, distribute the peeled figs cut into quarters on top
Cover them with the remaining amaretti and sprinkle with rum
Bake the tart in a preheated oven at 190°C for 30 minutes
Mix the yolk and sugar into the cream and pour the mixture over the figs
Put the tart pan back in the oven and bake for another 15 minutes
Serve garnishing the plate with washed figs cut into quarters
