
Fig Tart
The fig tart is a typical summer dessert, made with fresh ripe figs and a delicious shortcrust pastry. This dessert is perfect for a tasty snack or as a dessert after a light meal. The tart pairs perfectly with soft fresh whipped cream and can be enriched with a splash of rum to add an extra touch of flavor.
Ingredients
- Frozen shortcrust pastry
1Package1Package - Fresh ripe figs
500G500G - Crumbled amaretti cookies
300G300G - Rum
2Tablespoons2Tablespoons - Fresh whipped cream
10Cl10Cl - Egg yolk
11 - Sugar
40G40G - Butteras needed

Preparation
- STEP 1 OF 7
Defrost the pastry following the package instructions, then line a buttered and floured tart pan
- STEP 2 OF 7
Sprinkle the pastry with 3/4 of the amaretti, distribute the peeled and quartered figs on top
- STEP 3 OF 7
Cover them with the remaining amaretti and sprinkle with rum
- STEP 4 OF 7
Bake the tart in a preheated oven at 190°C for 30 minutes
- STEP 5 OF 7
Mix the egg yolk and sugar with the cream and pour the mixture over the figs
- STEP 6 OF 7
Return the tart pan to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes
- STEP 7 OF 7
Serve garnished with washed and quartered figs
