The fig tart is a typical summer dessert, made with ripe fresh figs and a delicious shortcrust pastry. This dessert is perfect for a sweet snack or as a dessert after a light meal. Thaw the pastry following the package instructions, then line a greased and floured tart pan
Sprinkle the pastry with 3/4 of the amaretti, then arrange the peeled figs, cut into quarters, on top
Cover them with the remaining amaretti and sprinkle with rum
Bake the tart in a hot oven at 1900 for 30 minutes
Fold the egg yolk and sugar into the cream and pour the mixture over the figs
Return the tart pan to the oven and bake for about another 15 minutes
Serve garnished with washed figs cut into quarters
