Mix all the ingredients except the milk and the packet of baking powder
Warm the milk and add it gradually, keeping back a little
Dissolve the baking powder in the milk set aside (be careful: use a tall container because it foams like beer)
Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured cake pan
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes
