Turdilli are delicious sweet fritters flavored with cinnamon and orange. They are a traditional Sicilian dessert, prepared during the Christmas holidays. Their texture is crumbly and their taste is irresistible.

Arrange the flour in a cone on the board and knead it with 10 Cl of oil, gradually adding the wine, the cinnamon and the orange zest
Shape this dough into a roll, then cut from this roll many 'turdilli' like large gnocchi about 3-4 cm thick and slightly longer
Pass these turdilli over a grater so they have a rough surface, fry them in hot oil, then place them on absorbent paper to drain
At this point you will have melted the honey in a bain-marie with a small addition of water
Pour the honey over the turdilli, toss them so the honey adheres, and serve them
