Turdilli are delicious sweet fritters scented with cinnamon and orange. They are a traditional Sicilian dessert, prepared during the Christmas holidays. Their texture is crumbly and their taste is irresistible.
Arrange the flour in a cone shape on the cutting board and knead it with 10 cl of oil, gradually adding the wine, cinnamon, and orange zest
Shape this dough into a roll, then cut from this roll many 'turdilli' like large gnocchi, 3-4 cm thick and slightly longer
Pass these turdilli over a grater so they have a rough surface, fry them in hot oil, and place them on absorbent paper to dry
At this point, you will have melted the honey in a bain-marie with a small addition of water
Pour the turdilli in, turn them so the honey adheres, and serve them
