Citrus l'orto italiano has chosen Gavina to enhance Italian watermelons together! Our mini watermelons are grown in Sardinia and differ from traditional ones because their flesh is naturally low in seeds, which, if present, are few, small, white, and soft. It is a sweet fruit thanks to its high sugar content, which gives it a long shelf life. They are small (from 1.5 to 2.5 kg) so they can be easily consumed in a short time and are convenient to carry with you. It will be very easy to recognize the Gavina mini watermelon thanks to its light green color and darker stripes that characterize the rind. Moreover, the rind is very thin, allowing for a greater amount of edible product compared to traditional watermelons. It is grown following a strict integrated pest management protocol that limits the use of pesticides, favoring insects and microorganisms that reduce environmental impact. We pay particular attention to the health of bees, which are essential for pollinating the flowers of our watermelons. Therefore, we do not use products that could cause problems for these insects, which are so important for the ecosystem.
