Etna DOC White Wine Format: 6 Bottles x 0.75 lt Alcohol content: 12.5% vol. Etna DOC White Wine – Freshness and character of Sicily. The Etna DOC White Wine is born from the vineyards of San Lorenzo, at 750 m above sea level, in unique volcanic soils that provide freshness and minerality. The espalier vineyards, aged between 15 and 20 years, guarantee selected high-quality grapes, which are the basis of our Etna DOC White Wine. Color and Aroma. The Etna DOC White Wine presents itself with an elegant straw yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, delicate notes of white-fleshed fruit are perceived, anticipating the harmony of the taste. Taste and Tasting. On the palate, the Etna DOC White Wine stands out for its excellent acidity and a mineral aftertaste of flint. The wine is aged in stainless steel with maturation on fine lees for 4 months, to preserve freshness and aromas. Serve at 10-12°C to fully appreciate its elegance and minerality. Gastronomic Pairings. The Etna DOC White Wine pairs perfectly with first courses based on fish, shellfish, and light dishes, enhancing the freshness of the ingredients without overshadowing them. Production and Vinification. The vinification of the Etna DOC White Wine occurs in white, at a controlled temperature of 12-14°C in stainless steel, with gentle maceration to preserve the aromas and freshness typical of the Etna terroir. Producer: Camporè. Camporè is a company born in 2016 thanks to Maria Pia and Cristina Madaudo, two young entrepreneurs in the wine world. Quality and ethical production are at the center of this young and dynamic company, rich in history, attentive to the environment and the consumer. Daughters of art, raised among the rows of the family business, the Madaudo sisters have listened to the secrets of their grandfather, acquiring experience and competence in the field. A few years ago, they decided to put down roots in the Tenuta di San Lorenzo, a historic residence of great importance. Vineyard and Variety. At the northwestern tip of the Etna DOC area, between the districts of San Lorenzo and Campo Rè, at 765 meters above sea level, the vineyards of the Estate extend for 8 hectares on ancient volcanic soils. The original vineyard of nerello mascalese and nerello cappuccio planted in the mid-1900s has recently been joined by the modern planting of indigenous white grapes: carricante and catarratto. Soil and Climates. In the Etna region, there are substantial climatic differences, not only compared to the rest of Sicily, but also between one side and the other of the volcano. Here, the strong temperature variation between day and night, the significant ventilation typical of the Alcantara Valley, the richness of the mineral composition of the volcanic soil, and its constant water availability are the fundamental elements for indigenous grape varieties to fully express the territory in their wines with elegance and minerality.
