Description
Fregula Sarda Corona is an artisanal product by Renzo Corona, who for about ten years has revived and enhanced this ancient type of pasta. The name Fregola, also known as Fregula or Freola, has Latin origins and derives from the Latin word "ferculum," which means crumb. The durum wheat semolina is hand-processed, as the circular rubbing motion done with the hands forms small balls that must be toasted in the oven for about fifteen minutes before becoming Fregola. Pairings: Fregula Sarda Corona is a typical Sardinian pasta shape with which you can prepare incredible dishes, including: Fregula Sarda with lobster, mixed shellfish, mullet ragù, pesto and fish, porcini mushrooms, wild asparagus, artichokes.
