Description
Pigato Domè Vis Amoris is a wine produced by the Vis Amoris winery with the most famous native grape variety of the Liguria region: Pigato. This variety owes its name to the term "impeciato" which refers to the small spots seen on the berries that make up the Pigato clusters ready to be harvested (probably a kind of defense against the sun's rays). The vineyards of the Vis Amoris winery are located in the municipality of Imperia, a vineyard arranged in terraces 3 km from the sea, where this fantastic grape grows in a challenging but very generous territory. The Pigato grapes are harvested manually and brought to the winery for pressing, the musts ferment in steel at a temperature of about 15°C for 10 days after which the Pigato Domè Vis Amoris wine is left to age on the fine lees until bottling. Pairings: Pigato Domè Vis Amoris pairs well with typical Ligurian dishes, salt-baked fish, fresh and lightly aged cheeses. Storage: Store at 16-18°C Alcohol content: 12.5% Vintage: 2024 Designation: Riviera Ligura di Ponente DOC Pigato Aging: In steel.
