Description
Sauvignon Alturis is a wine produced by the Alturis winery in Friuli from the Sauvignon grape variety. The Ribolla Gialla grapes are cultivated in the plains and hills of the area in front of Cividale del Friuli. The grapes are harvested and brought to the winery around the first decade of September and gently pressed. The musts ferment in glass-lined cement tanks at a temperature of about 18°C for 15 days, allowing the yeasts to express the aromatic potential of the Sauvignon variety. In the spring following the harvest, Sauvignon Alturis is blended and bottled. Pairings: Sauvignon Alturis is an excellent wine as an aperitif, it pairs superbly with fish appetizers in general and especially with shellfish, asparagus, vegetable soups, and herb risottos.
