Denomination: Barbaresco DOCG Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo Name: Barbaresco Alcohol: 14.5° Format: 0.75L Production Area: Cannubi, Barolo (CN), Piedmont, Italy Description: During vinification, maceration with submerged cap for about 12-15 days in wooden vats with frequent pump-overs. Aging in Slavonian oak barrels, the bottles are placed horizontally for about six months after bottling. The color is intense garnet red in youth, over time it acquires delicate orange reflections. On the nose, a bouquet of fruity aromas reminiscent of all berries, from raspberry to blackberry to plum, with time it can acquire interesting spicy notes. On the palate, it is round with elegant tannins, a balance of red fruit, plum, blackberries, spicy notes, and tobacco. The main characteristics are elegance and a particularly sophisticated taste. Recommended pairing with pasta with meat ragù or risottos, red meats, roasts, game, braised dishes, and well-aged cheeses. Serving temperature 18-20°C.
