
The V Years Pinot Bianco Alto Adige Gran Riserva DOC 2013 from Cantina Merano is a fine and elegant white wine. A refined meditation wine whose grapes come from a single vineyard located under Castel Tirolo. The creation of this reserve wine requires particular care and great attention to detail. The prerequisites are the use of the best clones, careful yield control and meticulous manual work. After the careful pressing of the whole grape with natural sedimentation, this masterpiece is left to rest on the fine lees for a year in oak barrels and for another four years in steel. Only after more than five years (as the name also recalls) is this extraordinary reserve wine ready for bottling. Grape varieties: 100% Pinot Bianco. Soils: light, permeable, and of morainic origin. Age of the vines: 20 years. Winemaking: gentle pressing of whole clusters with natural sedimentation. Fermentation and maturation in large oak barrels and stainless steel tanks for 12 months. Followed by blending, maturation on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for 4 years and maturation in bottle for 4 months.
