The Voltaccia 49 Rosso di Toscana IGT from Poggio al Chiuso is a special wine that celebrates the 60th anniversary of the company, founded in 1949 by the Corti family. The Voltaccia is nothing more than a small fraction of a few houses on the Cassia road to Florence, 1 km from the center of Tavarnelle. A full-bodied, intense, soft and elegant wine, a perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation. It is produced with Merlot grapes from the Le Cappelle vineyard on clay-loam soil vinified in purity. On the nose, aromas of red fruit jams dominate, while on the palate it is warm, soft, savory and very persistent. Aging forecast: 8-10 years. Alcoholic fermentation in cement tanks with three weeks of skin contact and three pump-overs a day. It matures in French oak tonneaux for about 12 months and refines for at least 9 months in the bottle.
