Description
The wild fennel liqueur from Agricola Mpidusa is the result of the tireless work of "heroic" farmers, in a land destined for desertification due to climate change, like the island of Lampedusa. Thanks to the lands made available by the heirs of some local families, already committed to safeguarding the biodiversity of the territory, the green leaves and wild fennel are harvested and delivered to the local distillery, which transforms them while still fresh into liqueur, following the traditional process of maceration in alcohol. The result is a liquid with green-gold reflections, which is subsequently filtered and combined with a syrup of water and sugar. The result is a highly aromatic liqueur with great digestive properties. The wild fennel liqueur from Agricola Mpidusa should be sipped at room temperature, as a digestive at the end of a meal. Its authentic and direct flavor brings back the agricultural memory of the island, to that heritage of knowledge and traditions passed down and that aim to be carried towards a possible future.
