Whole Wheat Dunking Cookies are very crumbly and taste delicious.
In a large bowl, add the egg, sugar, and mix.
Then add the oil, milk, grated lemon zest, and mix again for a few minutes.
Finally, add the sifted flour, salt, and baking ammonia, and mix again until the dough is completely compacted with your hands.
The dough should be smooth and homogeneous, form a loaf and let it rest for half an hour.
On a floured surface, create balls that you will then roll into sticks.
Grease your hands and pass them over each cookie, then press the surface into a small plate with sugar.
Place the cookies spaced apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated static oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature.
The rustic dunking cookies can be stored in an airtight jar.
