Soak the soy granules in hot water with a bit of soy sauce (or tamari for celiacs) for about 10 minutes
To make the egg substitute, blend the flax seeds and soak them in lukewarm water for 10 minutes
Meanwhile, clean and chop the onion and carrot using a mixer
Place the chopped onion and carrot in a bowl and add the squeezed soy granules, the thickened flax seed mixture, spices, herbs, and salt
Mix well and form the burgers
Cook them in an air fryer at 180°C for 15 minutes or until golden, or in a regular oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes or until golden, turning them gently halfway through cooking
I placed the burger in a bun (gluten-free bread if you're celiac!) toasted in a pan beforehand. Fill it as you like but don't forget the vegan mayonnaise, it's a must! 😜
