Finely slice the onion and place it in a pan along with the olive oil.
Turn on the heat and sauté the onion, then add the pancetta and cook for another two minutes, stirring.
Add the glass of beer to deglaze, and meanwhile cook the pasta in boiling water.
Drain the pasta al dente and add it to the pan with the sauce, cooking for another couple of minutes while stirring with a wooden spoon.
