Crispy apple chips prepared in an air fryer: a healthy, light snack infused with cinnamon, ready in about 15 minutes.
Wash the apples, remove the core if preferred and slice them very thinly with a sharp knife or a mandolin.
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Add lemon juice and stir gently.
Place the apple slices in a bowl and sprinkle them with the sugar and cinnamon mixture, gently tossing to coat.
Arrange the slices in the air fryer in a single layer, avoiding overlaps. Lightly spray with oil if you desire extra crispness.
Cook in the air fryer at 160°C for about 10-15 minutes, checking for browning: cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the slices and the air fryer model.
Let the chips cool on a wire rack; they will become crispier as they cool. Store in an airtight container once cooled.
