Chop the walnut kernels in a mixer until a fine consistency is obtained.
In a bowl, combine the chopped walnuts with the whole sugar and egg white.
If desired, add orange zest or vanilla flavoring.
Mix well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Moisten your hands and take small portions of dough, forming balls.
Roll the balls first in whole sugar and then in powdered sugar.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Great to serve with a cup of tea or coffee.
