Simple, healthy, sugar-free dessert made of baked apples with ghee butter and cinnamon. Quick and adaptable recipe, ideal for those following a gluten-free or low-carb diet. A few ingredients, quick preparation, and a tasty, light result.
Thoroughly wash the apples; if you prefer, you can peel them or leave the skin on. Cut the apples into uniform chunks of about 2 cm.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat and add the ghee butter, allowing it to melt slowly.
Add the apple chunks to the pan and gently stir to coat them in the ghee butter. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly, and if desired, add a pinch of salt to balance the flavors.
Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on low heat for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the apples soften without breaking apart. For slight caramelization, increase the heat in the last 1-2 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Serve the baked apples in a bowl, garnishing with more cinnamon or a teaspoon of yogurt for a fresh contrast.

Variations: add dried fruits (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts), other spices (nutmeg, ginger, cardamom) or creamy toppings (Greek yogurt). Tips: cook slowly to avoid the apples breaking down, feel free to dose the cinnamon to taste and for more intense caramelization, cook on high heat for the final 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously.
