Apple fritters are a delicious and soft dessert made with tart apples, lemon juice, rum, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and flavored with powdered vanilla sugar. They are perfect when enjoyed warm, perhaps accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Peel the apples, remove the core, cut them into 1 cm thick slices, soak them in lemon juice and rum, and sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon.
Dip the apple slices in sweet dough and fry them at 170 degrees in plenty of hot fat until golden brown.
Drain them and sprinkle with powdered vanilla sugar.
Optionally, you can serve the fritters garnished with apricot jam or a bit of fruit sauce.
