Apple fritters are a delicious and soft dessert made with tart apples, lemon juice, rum, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and flavored with powdered vanilla sugar. They are perfect to enjoy warm, maybe accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Peel the apples, remove the core, and slice them into 1 cm thick slices, soak them with lemon juice and rum, and sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon.
Prepare the apple slices in a dough for desserts and fry them at 170 degrees in plenty of hot fat until golden.
Let them drain and sprinkle them with powdered vanilla sugar.
Optionally, you can serve the fritters garnished with apricot jam or a bit of fruit sauce.
