Apple fritters are a delicious and fluffy dessert, made with tart apples, lemon juice, rum, granulated sugar, cinnamon and flavored with vanilla powdered sugar. They are perfect served warm, perhaps accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Peel the apples, remove their cores, cut them into 1 cm thick slices, soak them with lemon juice and rum and sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon.
Coat the apple slices in a batter for desserts and fry them at 170°C in plenty of hot fat until they turn golden.
Drain them and sprinkle with vanilla powdered sugar.
You can optionally serve the fritters garnished with apricot jam or with a little fruit sauce.
