Apple Pockets are delicious treats made with apples, sugar, butter, sultanas, chopped walnuts, and cinnamon, wrapped in frozen puff pastry. They are the perfect dessert for a tasty snack or to end a dinner in a sweet and original way.
Peel the apples and hollow them out in the center
Make small incisions and roll them in 2 tablespoons of sugar that you have previously mixed with cinnamon
Roll out the thawed puff pastry to a thickness of 3-4 millimeters (you can also use shortcrust pastry) and cut out 6 squares large enough to enclose the apples
Fill the inside of the apples with sultanas, walnuts, a teaspoon of sugar, and a knob of butter
Place the apples on the 'handkerchiefs' of pastry, which you will close over the fruit and decorate with a knot of pastry
Brush the pockets with the yolks, place them on a baking sheet lined with special paper, and bake for about 45 minutes in a hot oven (200 degrees)
Serve the apples warm accompanied by liquid cream
