

Apple strudel is a traditional Tyrolean dessert, made of a thin layer of puff pastry filled with apples, raisins, and cinnamon. For the dough: knead by hand in a bowl 100 g of flour 20 g of butter a pinch of salt two tablespoons of warm water to form a smooth and homogeneous ball brush with melted butter and let it rest
Cut the apples into slices sprinkle them with sugar add the raisins and a teaspoon of cinnamon cover with cling film
On a generously floured dish towel roll out the dough very thinly spread the apples over the pastry arranging them evenly taking the edges of the cloth roll up the strudel giving it the typical horseshoe shape
Place the strudel on a previously greased and floured baking tray brush with the remaining 1/2 egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30/35 minutes
Dissolve the remaining 40 g of butter in half a glass of hot milk and during cooking brush the strudel from time to time until it is finished
When cooking is complete dust the strudel with powdered sugar and serve warm
