

Buchteln are soft and fragrant pastries originating from Austrian cuisine. These sweet rolls are filled with jam or pastry cream and are usually served warm. Ideal for breakfast or a snack, Buchteln are an excellent treat to enjoy at any time of day.




It is a Tyrolean sweet, also typical at Christmas, originating from Bohemia and very common especially in Trentino.
In fact it consists of many small sweet buns filled with jam that are baked together in the oven, possibly merging into a single dessert.
They are made with sugar, milk, flour, fresh yeast, butter, egg and lemon zest.
