Candied grapes are a traditional Italian sweet, ideal to enjoy during the autumn season. The grapes are cooked slowly with sugar and rum, which enhance their sweet and aromatic flavor.
Remove the grapes from the stems and wash them
Drain them and dry them thoroughly
Put the sugar in a small saucepan and moisten it with the rum
Caramelize it, stirring continuously over very low heat
Insert a toothpick into each grape and dip the fruit into the caramel for a few moments
Let the grapes dry on a work surface that has been previously moistened
Remove the toothpick, place them in paper liners and serve
