Cenci are a typical dessert of the Tuscan tradition. They are crispy and light fried pastries, similar to frappe or chiacchiere, enriched with grated lemon peel that gives them a fresh and fragrant aroma. Perfect for Carnival or a tasty snack, cenci are irresistible!
Arrange the flour in a mound and place the other ingredients in the center; mix them with the flour to form a dough that is not too worked
Let it rest for 30 minutes in a cool place
Roll out a very thin sheet
With a fluted wheel, cut into diamond shapes; divide them into pieces about 10-15 cm
Fry them lightly in olive oil or lard
Dust with powdered sugar
