Swiss chard pie is a delicious starter typical of Italian cuisine. The chard, tasty and nutritious, is skillfully mixed with flour, quagliata and white onion to create a pie with a unique and inviting flavor. The dough is enriched with extra virgin olive oil and salt, which add taste and make the pie even more appetizing.
Form a firm dough by mixing the flour, two tablespoons of oil, a little water and the salt
Divide it into two parts and let it rest covered for about an hour
Wash the chard, remove the bottom part, cut into strips and boil them for two minutes in salted water
Let cool and squeeze out using a cloth
Sauté the chopped onion in the oil, add the chard and salt and cook for about 6-7 minutes
Prepare two dough sheets and, after oiling them, place one on the bottom of a baking pan previously brushed with a thin film of oil
Pour in the now-cooled filling, spread the quagliata over it, season with salt and cover with the other sheet
Seal the sheets all around forming an edge
Bake in a moderate oven (160 degrees C) for 40 minutes
