The Chocolate Delight is an irresistible and indulgent dessert, made from a soft dark chocolate batter, enriched with a butter cream and decorated with powdered sugar. Originating from the Emilia-Romagna region, it has become one of the most beloved specialties throughout Italy.
In a small pan, melt the butter over a double boiler
In a saucepan, also melt the chopped chocolate over a double boiler
In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with half of the powdered sugar and one packet of vanilla sugar
Incorporate the melted butter and chocolate into the mixture
Add the sifted flour and cornstarch, mixing well
Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks, sweeten them with the remaining powdered sugar and gently fold them into the chocolate cream
Pour it into a buttered and floured baking pan
Place in a preheated oven at 150°C for about 40 minutes
Let the pudding cool in the refrigerator, unmold and serve
Rectangular baking pan
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
