Let 450 g of chopped suet, 450 g of sultanas, 450 g of chopped candied fruit, 250 g of chopped almonds, 250 g of brown sugar, two tablespoons of ground spices (ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg), two tablespoons of grated orange zest, and a glass of rum macerate for ten days in a cool place.
Stir well every day.
Transfer everything into an earthenware mold and cook in a bain-marie for 6 hours.
Unmold and serve hot with sweetened and well-chilled whipping cream.
