Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, starting to stir when it begins to melt and stirring repeatedly until fully melted
Remove from heat and add 75 g of softened butter at room temperature
Stir until it has melted
Add the sugar
Incorporate only the egg yolks one at a time
Add the rum
Sift 100 g of flour and the baking powder and incorporate them into the egg and chocolate mixture
Mix well
Whip the egg whites and fold them into the preparation
Butter and flour a 26 cm diameter cake tin: pour in the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes
