Cook the ripe figs with sugar in a pot for 15 minutes
Then add the whole figs and cook for another hour on the lowest heat
Put in jars and cover with cellophane
Keep in mind some general rules regarding jams: only use healthy fruit for making jams;
Wash the fruit well, remove the stones or seeds; count 1000 g of sugar for every 1000 g of fruit;
Do not cook too much at once; take 1000 g for cooking:
This way the sugar does not crystallize and the jams will keep their nice color; cook over medium heat until a light foam forms on the jam, then fill the jars; pour liquid paraffin on the jam or place a layer of cellophane over the jars;
