The French Flan, also known as Flan français, is a delicious sweet cake originating from France. Take a plate and flour it
Roll out the thawed shortcrust pastry to a thickness of 6 mm
Butter a 20 cm diameter springform pan, line it with parchment paper, and place the pastry on top
Cover with more parchment paper and bake at 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes after pouring a handful of dried beans to prevent it from puffing up
Prepare the custard: bring 8 tablespoons of milk to a boil in a bowl along with the vanilla pod
Pour in the egg yolks, sugar, and flour and mix well
Remove the vanilla pod and gradually pour in the remaining milk
Pour the still warm custard into the pan
Bake again for 25-30 minutes until the surface is golden
After removing the cake from the oven, let it cool, remove it from the pan, and sprinkle with powdered sugar
