

Grapefruits au gratin are an irresistible dessert that combines the fresh, citrus flavor of grapefruit with the sweet taste of crunchy caramel. This light and refreshing dessert is perfect for finishing a summer meal on a high note.


Peel the grapefruits, removing the white pith and membranes, and cut them into slices about 2 cm thick
Dissolve 100 g of sugar in a glass of water, stirring often, and let it simmer for 2 minutes
Place the grapefruit slices in the same pan and cook them for 5-7 minutes
Put the grapefruit slices in a baking dish, drizzle them with the whisky, and sprinkle them with more sugar
Place under the oven grill until the sugar is well caramelized, and serve
