Hazelnut ice cream is a typically Italian dessert. Its delicious creaminess and the intense taste of hazelnuts make it an irresistible dessert. Perfect to enjoy during hot summer days or as a sweet end to a meal.

Soak the vanilla bean in milk and bring to a boil
Meanwhile, place the four egg yolks in a bowl, add the sugar, and whisk them until frothy and nearly white
Remove the vanilla bean and gradually add the hot milk to the egg yolks, then pour the mixture back into the saucepan used for the milk
Cook in a water bath over low heat until it starts to gently boil
Remove the container from the heat and stir the cream continuously until it has completely cooled
Put the hazelnuts in the oven for a short time to toast (rubbing them with a kitchen cloth afterward will make peeling easy); then chop them finely
Strain the cooled cream through a sieve, add the chopped hazelnuts, and pour the mixture into the ice cream maker
Freeze the ice cream according to your ice cream maker's specific instructions
If you don't have electric machines but still want to make ice cream at home and want it well churned, you will need to follow some tips
First of all, remember that after placing the container (or the containers, whether complete or with dividers) in the freezer, the product to be frozen should be stirred with a wooden spoon approximately every 30 minutes until it is soft enough to do so
This system will prevent the formation of ice crystals on the surface of the ice cream
