Krumiri are typical cookies from the Piedmont tradition, with an elongated, curved shape. They are fragrant, crumbly and aromatic thanks to the vanilla flavor. Perfect to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.

Mix the two flours in a bowl, adding the sugar and 1 sachet of vanillin
Add the softened (but not melted) butter and then the whole eggs, mixing first and then working the dough until you obtain a compact, firm ball; let it rest for about 30 minutes covered with a cloth
When ready, put the dough little by little into a piping bag and pipe cookies about ten centimeters long and slightly narrow onto a lightly buttered and floured baking sheet, then bend them into a slightly open arch
Bake in a preheated oven (200 degrees C) until the krumiri are golden (about 30 minutes)
If you don't have a piping bag or pastry syringe, cut the cookies with a knife, place them on the baking sheet and curve them
If you want to follow tradition closely, score the surface of the cookies

Krumiri can be stored for a long time in an airtight container
