Lemon granita is a traditional Sicilian dessert, fresh and thirst-quenching. Made with freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar and water, it is perfect to enjoy during hot summer days. Its granular texture and intense flavor make this dessert unique. Try it and let yourself be carried away on a sweet stroll through the streets of Palermo!

Mix the lemon juice with water and sugar, pour it into a plastic container and place it in the freezer.
After two hours break the mixture into pieces and return it to the freezer.
Repeat this operation a couple more times to give the granita its characteristic granular texture.
To achieve the same result faster, you can put the frozen mixture directly into the blender at medium speed or grate a large piece of ice with the appropriate tool and then pour the mixture over it.
Once you have the desired consistency, serve in a glass dessert bowl garnished with lemon slices and a few fresh mint leaves.
