Chiacchiere Lombarde, also known as bugie or frappe, are a traditional sweet from the region of Lombardia. Of ancient origin, these crispy fritters are prepared during Carnival. They are light, crunchy and irresistible, perfect to enjoy at any time.

Mix flour, sugar, the egg and white wine; let rest for about one hour covered.
Roll out a sheet of dough and with a pastry wheel cut many strips 10-15 centimeters long and 2 centimeters wide; knot them in the middle and fry them a few at a time in hot olive oil.
