The Margherita Pizza is one of the most iconic dishes of Italian cuisine. It was created in 1889 in Naples in honor of Queen Margherita of Savoy. Its preparation is simple but requires quality ingredients, such as fresh tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala, basil and olive oil. The pizza is at the heart of Italian culinary tradition and is enjoyed all over the world.

How can one not speak of the 'Queen' of pizzas, the Margherita, named in honor of Queen Margherita of Savoy.
Be sure to preheat the oven for at least twenty minutes.
Once it is very hot, grease a round, wide and shallow baking tray; tear off a piece of dough with your hands and try to spread it as much as possible over the bottom of the tray.
Then place the mozzarella sliced and the tomatoes you have cut into pieces on top, season with salt and basil; sprinkle with Parmigiano Reggiano and drizzle everything with olive oil.
Bake for about fifteen minutes: when you take the pizza out of the oven you can add more fresh basil if you like.
With 1000 g of dough you can make 3-4 pizzas.
You can bake two at a time.
